Remember the film Mannequin (circa 1987 with Kim Cattrall)? As a child I was fascinated with the concept of a giant doll coming to life. Some mannequins (the Pucci kind in particular) have the privilege of wearing beautiful designer clothes, holding the latest "it" bag and wearing shoes from Louboutin to Manolo! What a life! Ralph Pucci's mannequins are pretty spectacular and I love his collaborations with interior designers, fashion designers and models to produce some of the most stunning collections of mannequins. Pucci's mannequins are a far cry from the original mannequins of the 15th century, used by milliners to demonstrate fashion to wealthy customers.
